Send Me Your Flowers

I stand here,
In the middle of this field,
With no flowers in sight,
Just a piece of land,
Covered in grass,
Green as ever,
But it looks incomplete.
Would you send me your flowers?
So that I can nourish them with love,
And send a gift of solace,
To your city soul.
Stuck in between the concrete and tall buildings,
With only one escape,
The four walls of your dim-lit room.
How sweet would it be,
To have a garden bloom,
With your flowers,
That never got to see the sun,
Under the smoke of the city,
Where the streets were too loud,
But you chose the silence of being alone.
Every flower that blooms,
Would be a reminder,
Of everything you are left to see.
And your city soul,
Would find a place of its own,
Where it can live, breathe and grow.
Little by little,
One flower at a time.
So tell me,
Would you send me your flowers?
