Window To The Hidden You
Saturday night in the countryside,
Warmth of summer brings sleep to the youthful eyes,
The cool breeze gives a reason to feel alive.
Another day spent by the window,
Under which lie the flowers,
Vibrant colours of crimson and cotton candy,
Fill in the days of weariness with exuberance.
The window that I sat by everyday,
When the world had stopped moving,
And streets were erased of footprints.
This window gave me a way,
Into the world beyond that of humans,
Made me an enthusiast,
Of the beauty of nature,
And taught me a way to mould it into poetry.
Words that come directly from my heart,
And make an effort to touch your's,
With an honest expression of how I feel,
About things that the world finds trivial.
As I sit by the window,
I learn something new as the days go by,
Discover new talents that hide within myself.
So I come here with a suggestion,
Find yourself a window,
That gives you access to a new world,
Where you can find new talents that hide,
Within the layers, fully in disguise.
Gift yourself a new you,
Just like I found a poet in my soul.
