Forever Is A Lie

As i open my eyes,
I see the overcast skies,
Reaching out for you,
With my unfurled arms,
Ringing in my head,
Are the muffled alarms,
Telling me that time is over.
Because forever was never a thing.
Flying with the power of our memories,
But suddenly, I fall to the ground,
With pain gushing through my veins,
You in my heart, the only the thing that remains.
